Bath Festivals Ltd is an independent limited company and registered charity, governed by a Board of volunteer trustees who oversee the management of all the company's activities as described below.
In addition to its own work, Bath Festivals Ltd has agreed to devote part of its core staffing resource to the co-ordination and administration of the collective activities of the Cultural Forum, along with the advocacy and strategy development worker, including management of the finances and administration of the Cultural Forum. Bath Festivals staff members have agreed to take on the responsibility of working together with Cultural Forum members on different aspects of agreed collective actions, including raising funds for any agreed collective action or project. Bath Festivals Ltd staff thus work to the Cultural Forum Executive Group on Cultural Forum matters, through the line-management of the Bath Festivals' Chief Executive.
Box Office & Website
Bath Festivals Ltd owns and directly manages the year-round Bath Festivals Box Office which serves over 90 different promoters - to which services Cultural Forum members have privileged access on certain items, such as on-line sales capacity. Similarly, it owns and operates this website www.bathfestivals.org.uk which it has opened to the use of the Cultural Forum and as a wider what's on resource for cultural activity in the area.
Bath Literature & International Music Festivals, Education & Arts Activity
Bath Festivals Ltd's core function is its independent role in directly organising and promoting two of the City's major annual festivals - Bath Literature Festival and Bath International Music Festival; running a year-round education programme that links to both; and organising other arts activities as determined in its forward planning.
The professional staff of Bath Festivals Ltd have specific roles within the organisation for the marketing, fundraising and management of Bath Festivals Ltd's directly promoted festivals, education programme and other arts activities. In raising funds, Bath Festivals Ltd seeks sponsorship and support for its own directly promoted festivals and education work. It does not raise funds for any other organisations' specific activity.
